Professional background: Susan Westwood, Managing Director

A leading media and public relations professional, Susie Westwood has enjoyed a stellar career with the Vogue magazines in Australia for more than twenty years. Her previous roles have included Director of Public Relations and Promotions for the Vogue magazines and GQ in the nineties, under The Condé Nast Publications, during which she was responsible for all corporate and brand media communications and events. Subsequently, Susie worked as Senior Editor/Travel for Vogue Entertaining + Travel and Vogue Living, directing all travel editorial.

As PR Director for Vogue Living, Susie created significant promotional initiatives such as securing sponsorships and developing the magazine’s Milan Report to position it as the leading design publication in the Australia marketplace. Commercial partners she brought on board included Qantas, Veuve Clicquot and Electrolux. A multi-media presentation of the annual Salone Internazionale del Mobile – Furniture Fair in Milan, including an in-magazine report, digital components (live interviews with leading industrial designers for Vogue Living.com and Twitter commentary from the editor of VL) and a marketplace launch for the Jul/Aug issue of VL, have for the last three years resulted in major publicity and circulation results for the title.
